Hanuraktha – A Mythological 2D Action-Platformer

Introduction

"The Battle for Hanuman’s Blood" is a 2D level-based action-platformer that combines fast-paced movement, strategic combat, and a mythologically inspired storyline. Developed as a group project by two members, the game challenges players to navigate difficult terrain, unlock a powerful ability, and defeat a formidable enemy who threatens the world.

Story Overview

According to legend, a drop of Hanuman’s blood was lost to the sea, containing immense power. A villain has now discovered and harnessed this power, aiming to use it for destruction. The player takes on the role of a warrior who must stop the antagonist before it is too late.

Gameplay and Level Design

The game consists of two distinct levels, each offering a unique challenge.

Level 1: Parkour and Power Acquisition

The first level introduces movement-based challenges, requiring players to navigate through a series of platforming obstacles. The goal is to reach a mystical shrine, where the protagonist gains a special power needed to defeat the enemy.

Level 2: Boss Fight

The second level is a one-on-one battle against the main antagonist. Players must utilize their newly acquired abilities, react to enemy attacks, and strategize effectively to win the fight and reclaim Hanuman’s lost power.

While this project was developed as part of an academic assignment, there are several potential areas for expansion, including:
